How to apply for jurying

  1. Craftspeople wishing to obtain juried status must either be individual members of the NBCC/CANB or pay a jurying processing fee of $25 (plus HST). Juried membership is limited to members employing no more than ten full-time equivalent employees.
  2. Select the area(s) in which your work most aptly fits from the list of craft disciplines listed on the jurying application form and write in the appropriate blank.
  3. Submit five major distinct and different items that are representative of your work.  All items must have been made within the last 12 months. Please refer to paragraph 11 of our General Standards for important information.
  4. A return name and address label must be enclosed with your work, so that the office can identify pieces; every piece must be labeled.
  5. Jurying decisions will be made by media specialists and the jury committee.
  6. Complete, sign and return the jurying application form and send with your items by the submission deadline (please call the office at 506-450-8989 for information on scheduled jurying sessions).
  7. Enclose jurying fee of $25 + HST.
  8. Bring or send your work to the NBCC/CANB office at 732 Charlotte Street, Rm 103 (PO Box 1231, Fredericton NB, E3B 5C8).
  9. You may pick up your items from the office the week after jurying.

You will be notified of your jurying results by writing.
