Commemorative Painting Call

Posted on January 7, 2016 by Claire Shiplett

The Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB) is thrilled to celebrate its centennial in 2016. This milestone year recognizes nursing as a profession, supporting continuing excellence in nursing practice standards for the delivery of care to the public and NANB’s contribution to nurses shaping nursing for healthy New Brunswickers. As part of the year’s celebrations, the NANB would like to commission a unique commemorative painting that captures an interpretation of the essence of caring while portraying a proud and evolving history. The painting may be in oil, acrylic or watercolor. They are respectfully calling interested New Brunswick artists to provide a description of the proposed concept, as well as samples of previous work to create an NANB Centennial- Nursing: 100 years of Caring painting to mark this occasion. The selected artist would receive $5,000. Interested artists must submit their proposal by February 5, 2016. Completed artwork would be required no later than September 30, 2016. The artist with description and painting will be unveiled at the Association’s special reception in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting. Questions and or submissions can be sent to jwhitehead@nanb.nb.ca
